Manistee County Fair

August 13th-17th, 2024

The Manistee County Fair welcomes you each August! Located at the Onekama Fairgrounds along Portage Lake on M-22, the fair offers rides, food, entertainment, and 4-H exhibitions. 

With fun offered on the midway, grandstand shows, and even car races, the Manistee County Fair has something for everyone! 

Fair admission is generally $3, five and under free, unless otherwise noted. 

Here's what happened last year:

Tuesday: Opening Day

  • 8am– Swine Judging
  • 2pm– Sheep Judging
  • 4pm– Cattle Judging
  • 6pm– Goat Judging
  • 7pm – Michigan Horse Pulling Boat Association in the Grandstands, $5 admission

Wednesday

  • 8am– Rabbit Judging
  • 12-10pm – Merchant Building Open
  • 1pm– Poultry/Bird Judging
  • 5pm– Youth Exhibit Area: Youth Live Performance Event
  • 7pm– TNT Demo Derby in the Grandstands; $15 for ages 13 and up, $8 ages 6-12 and Kids 5 & under free, $20 Pits

Thursday

  • 12-10pm– Merchant Building Open
  • 5:30pm– Youth Open Large and Small Animal Auction
  • 7pm– Side by Side Barrel Racing in the Grandstands; $15 ages 13 and up, $8 ages 6-12, Kids 5 & Under Free, $20 Pits

Friday

  • 10am– Large Animal Barn: Photo Opportunity Day
  • 11:30am– Youth Open Showmanship Sweepstakes Event
  • 12-10pm– Merchant Building Open
  • 6pm – Youth Open Companion Animal Interviews – Companion Animal Station in Merchant Building
  • 7pm– West Michigan Pullers; $15 ages 13 and up, $8 ages 6-12 and Kids 5 & under free, $10 for Veterans, $20 Pits

Saturday

  • 12-10pm– Merchant Building Open
  • 7pm– TNT Bump ‘n Run & Demolition Derby; $15 ages 13 and up, $8 ages 6-12 and Kids 5 & under free; $20 Pits
